(TOUGE GOE : crossing a mountain pass)

The tour, designated for advanced and expert skiers, is as the name implies, skiing across the mountains and in some cases requiring backcountry skiing.
While the tour’s name literally means crossing a mountain pass, it also has other meanings such as ‘ get over the hump’ or ‘ get through the most difficult time’. By getting over the hardest part of the tour, take your powder experience to the next level and redefine the value of powder skiing in Shigakogen.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Meet your guide
・Arrive in Japan.
・Have a safe trip to AIBIYA and check-in.
・Meet your guide and have an orientation at AIBIYA from 5 pm.
・Have all your ducks in order for your powder adventure.

Day 2 – 6 : Back country /Side country for 5 days in Shigakogen
(Note that depending on the weather condition of the day, tour location subject to change)
・Start your day with locally-sourced continental breakfast at AIBIYA.
・Depart from AIBIYA at 8am.
・Soak up the powder with local guides.
・Come back to AIBIYA.
・Savour your free time. You can have local beer at the tatami lounge or soak your body in the exquisite hot spring bath and feel the authentic atmosphere.
・Prepare your own feast or Eat out at a local restaurants.
・Kaiseki dinner on the last day of the tour.

Day 7: Departure day
・After breakfast, head off to the airport or extend your stay and enjoy another powder day.

About ski ability level

Participant who will join the tour must be able to ski or snowboard like the skier in the video.
